Just installed and played the first single player levels of Battlefield Bad Company 2.............glad I upgraded my computer, the graphics are amazing. So far the gameplay looks pretty darn good.

Unable to try multiplayer, I get a message I need punkbuster. I thought it installed a punkbaster app when installing the game, but maybe it was checking the system for punkbuster. Anyone else have this problem?? Do you need to install punkbuster as a stand alone app and have it running in the background??

If it is stand alone, anyone have a link for the win 64bit client?

This punkbuster crap is pissing me off. I did find a pb folder and files in programfiles/steamsteamapps/common/battlefied bad company 2 but have no idea if pb is installed or how to activate it.

I have search and searched and cannot find the client download. I tried installing the pbsetup but upon further review I think it is just for manually updating punkbuster once you have it if the auto update does not work.

I know we used punkbuster years ago, but I have slept since then. If anyone can give me "detailed" advice if pb is aready installed with BC2 or how to set up/install etc punkbuster for BC2 (correct path etc)it would be appreciated.

Sorry Cent. I don't know the tricks. I really dislike Punkbuster for those very same reasons. I usually have to wait until someone makes a forum post.

Ok.........finally got it squared away. Had to download a security file into the pb folder for it to auto update. If anyone else has a similar problem, give me a shout.

After a quick couple of of maps in multiplayer the game seems pretty cool. Gameplay is sweet. Nice to have vehicles again. Graphics outstanding.

Yeh I agree. Very nice game indeed...sound is amazing too. And its good to have vehicles again. No offense to MW, but this game is more my style.

I'm loving the single player so far. Havent tried any multiplayer yet. Agree on the visuals, sounds and vehicles. Good stuff!

MP is fun for me. Can't say I see the need for all the cussing and swearing though, and I can't find anything to turn it off.

You know, I have a pretty filthy mouth but the cussing did get my attention. I certainly dont mind it but I found myself thinking how much Preacher wont like the single player campaign in this one.

MP's a blast, good old Conquest mode. Rush mode is hit or miss depending on your team. I wish I had my speakers with me :(

A few of us bought it here to play at the LAN....The single player is just phenomenal! We are going to see if we can get a LAN game going. Haven't seen much about a dedicated server yet.

Grinder says that Jett should have a server now or in the next few days.

Razz and I are both in, and this is legit. None of that shady crap Razz does ;)
