***************WARNING********************** This may jade you and ruin your gaming experince.... Once you look you can't unlook.

While looking up on google a way to save my player profile so I don't loose my stats if I break my puter, I came across these. In about 5 minutes I had found these and many more cheats.

Aimbots are easy to detect, wall hacks, not so much. I was playing with a clan who was wall hacking last night and I am sure many of you were playing with them as well. The reason I posted these, is so you can detect when you are being cheated. I remember one match where every time I came face to face with this one guy he was just a hair faster than me, it was a long match and he beat me to the trigger about 17 times or more. I have speedy aim and I usualy win 2 out of 3 face to face contests because of the perk. I am convinced this guy had a wall hack and saw me comming so he was already on the trigger. Wall hacks that show boxes or just the tags floating are so hard to detect but give a HUGE advantage. How many times have you been in the tall grass invisible and still get shot as soon as the enemies round the corner? The game is still fun, but IW needs to reign this in. This game is going the way of Counter Strike really fast and we all remember how that got.

3 weeks ago the cheating wasn't so rampant, and a 2 months ago hardly any going on. The problem is, its an arms race. Once a few people start cheating, then more do it to keep the game "fair" and so on and so on. I am starting to tell just by the rythm of the game when the hacks are going on. When you can't move around much without getting hammered because 2 or 3 of those guys know where everyone is at all times its a good bet the wall hacks are going on. One good wallhack can throw off a match, 2 or 3 make is miserable. I would rather fight an aimbot than a wall hack.

I wonder if this is one of the many reasons why they market mostly to the consoles now. I know consoles can be hacked, but its harder and the consequences are highter (warranty, onlin e access being revoked etc) if your caught.

I really dislike game cheating. :x

We still won against the clan I think you are referring to, not that we should accept cheating but we seem to be able to beat it when we work together which we did very well last night.

Anyway, as a side note, did you find a way to back up your files as that probably should be done for most people.

You know what I think is really the biggest problem from all the obvious cheating that is found? Its lack of trust. Because of the brilliant "no dedicated servers" route they went you dont have a choice but to play with complete strangers everytime you get on. You cant vote ban or kick somebody who is doing questionable things and its on you to quit and hope you dont get paired up again with them again in the future.

We all know there are obvious cheats (the other day I was looking at some youtube cheat stuff out of curiosity and their are a bajillion of them) and exploits and because we dont have much trust in the system itself it makes it real easy to just assume cheating by default when there are other possibilities (bad ping, unlucky, really good player, etc).

What burns me the most though is that IW seems to think we are retarded 10 year olds. Im the most computer illiterate guy you can find probably and I have NEVER had even one issue with finding games via dedicated servers. It was so easy even I could do it. I could find the type of game I wanted, number of players, specific maps, etc in just a few seconds. They claim that this new console type system was done to make things better and easier for us but it was obviously done so they could control all the content and sell us the new mods/maps, etc. After experiencing their matchmaking system firsthand, my intelligence is being insulted for them to claim anything else.

We play on PC's for a reason. Im thinking MED is onto something that this is the sign of the future but I think whats really going to happen is PC's will just be written off completely for big titles. Sure, they will transfer over the equivelant Console platform for the PC but PC sales are going to be making less and less of their total sales because the PC people just wont be buying them as much. I would expect the PC folks to just stick to what they can use and control/mod because thats why we still use the PC.

Also, I would assume its only a matter of time till people figure out how to emulate their own servers for this game and it gets out on how to do it. If people can do it for games like WoW or EQ where the people running the game have a vested interest in you paying your monthly fee every month, surely it would be easier to do on a random FPS?

On the plus side, I'm glad I got the game (MW2), its been fun, and I'll keep playing it for now. But I have learned a very valuable lesson. I will never buy another FPS that doesnt have dedicated servers. Im betting a lot of PC people are feeling the same way. Sure it sounded sucky when it was announced no dedicated servers but we gave it a shot anyway. Lesson learned.

I would recommend avoiding the word never.

We have spoiled ourselves in games by playing them a LOT in a clan. If I could have looked back measured the cost of this game vs. how much fun I have had with the common weakness' included into the equation... I would have sill purchased it. I will continue to have fun as well.

If another game comes out that I would have had this much fun with.. I will buy it again. Flaws and all. Does this mean I don't want it to change? Not at all. The problem is, nothing comperable has replaced it yet. Until the market demands it, we wont get it.

Heh, I will admit it will be alot easier for me than most others. The only FPS's I have played much of were COD:UO, TF2, a little MW1, and now MW2. Most of my computer playing is RTS's or just plain old Strategy Games. Only reason I got TF2 and MW2 was because I wanted to play with you guys :)

Dash,

I am fairly certain that is for single player.

Turns out your Multi player profiles are saved on Steam Cloud and if you delete and reinstall the game your lvls and everything are there just fine.

Tested it and it works.
